Billy Maxted
Billy Maxted is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), specialising in pre-acquisition reports, party wall disputes, contract administration and project management.
Billy advises purchasers on the full spectrum of property, from listed and period buildings through to modern structures, giving buyers a clear and considered view of a building's condition and the risks involved prior to acquisition. Within the commercial sector he has delivered technical due diligence across major assets, including large logistics centres, hospitals and educational facilities.
Throughout, Billy places client care at the heart of his service, taking the time to understand each client's objectives and setting out his advice in clear, practical terms.
He has extensive experience in party wall matters, acting for both building owners and adjoining owners under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. His work covers the service of and response to notices, the preparation of schedules of condition and the agreement of awards, as well as resolving disputes where they arise. Billy has advised a national high-street retailer on party wall and neighbourly matters, and brings a measured, pragmatic approach that facilitates works progressing while safeguarding the interests of all parties and keeping neighbourly relations intact.
He has also acted for banks and funders on the monitoring of development projects, providing the independent oversight of cost, programme and risk that lenders rely on to protect their investment. As a project manager and contract administrator Billy has overseen schemes across the residential and commercial sectors, including heritage refurbishments, external refurbishment works to large landed estates, and substantial new-build and re-roofing projects, managing them from inception through to completion.
